andrew & amy

This moment was just a ‘special’ outside of anything I’ve ever seen at a wedding.

Traditionally wedding days are made up of really special moments that usually take your breath away.

There’s the ones that we all know, like putting on the dream dress and the groom seeing the bride for the first time.

And then you have a moment as simple as this. Something that isn’t scheduled into the run sheet or that needs any kind of planning. It was as simple as just being in the moment.

About 5 mins into our bridal photos session and we’re having an easy little chat about the day and how the whole thing is going. And at this point I’ve taken a grand total of about 10 test pictures when I ask Andrew to think about that moment he saw Amy coming down the aisle to become his wife. And in the same moment, I ask Amy to look into Andrew’s face and think about what she was thinking when she walking to meet him.

There I am, messing around with lighting and structure when I look up to see them both silently tearing up as they begin to tell each other what that moment was really like for each of them.

On a wedding day there is so much to think about and so much to do, but this was just one of those prime examples of what it’s like to really be in the moment with the person you love. That moment where the rest of the world just melts away.

With a love like this, I wouldn’t be surprised if you become some kind of legend.
